Amber deposits have been found that date back 30–90 million years. Through a fossilization process, resin is exposed to heat and pressure to eventually become amber. Amber sometimes can have tiny air bubbles trapped inside and ranges in color from a near-clear lemony yellow to a dark coffee brown.

According to legend, amber imbued magicians and sorcerers with special powers. The gemstone is associated with strength, luck, healing and protection.
