A rosy glow of hope rises over Nepal each morning as the sun rises in the horizon. This nature-imbued hope inspired Michelle Winston to handcraft this Rose Quartz and Garnet Hope Necklace for Blue Gobi. The twisted sterling silver chain is highlighted with a rhomboid-set and teardrop-set rose quartz. A cherry-red garnet is crown-set between the two rose quartzes. Rose quarts beads thread the 19.5-inch chain of this Rose Quartz and Garnet Hope Necklace.

One of the most popular and romantic gems on earth, rose quartz is a variety of 'rock crystal' that was used in ancient times to make crystal balls and bowls. Today, the stone is more commonly used in jewelry.
Garnet comes in all colors of the rainbow except blue. It is most often seen in red and green tones, however. The classic birthstone of January, garnets are a much-loved gemstone. Some of the rarer varieties of garnets include star garnets and garnets whose color shifts, depending on whether they are viewed in natural daylight or under artificial lighting.
This silver necklace with rose quartz beads measured approximately 17.5 inches and is secured with a silver hook. The chain is hand twisted by artisan Michelle Winston in Nepal.

All gemstones, including rose quartz and garnet, should be wiped clean with a soft cloth to avoid scratching their surface. Wash the stones with warm soapy water, gently brush them with a toothbrush and then wipe them dry.
Silver jewelry should be stored in an airtight container with a soft lining. Cleaning with soap and water and buffing with a soft cloth will keep your silver shiny as new. Avoid exposure of your silver jewelry to abrasive cleansers and bleach, which may cause discoloration.
