From the banks of the Narayani River in Nepal, the golden sunset casts a shimmering glow over the water that takes the breath away. That same thrilling beauty is recreated in these earrings’ shimmering silver and golden citrines.
One of the most readily available gemstones, citrine is durable and a popular choice for jewelry that will experience frequent wear. A golden variety of the quartz family, citrine is named for the French word for lemon, "citron." Citrine first began to be widely used as a jewelry gemstone during the Romantic period. Interestingly enough, some citrines are actually amethysts that have been heated to obtain the citrine’s yellow color.
These Twisted Hoop Citrine Briolette hoops measure approximately 2.6 inches.

All gemstones, including citrines, should be wiped clean with a soft cloth to avoid scratching their surface. Wash the stones with warm soapy water, gently brush them with a toothbrush and then wipe them dry.
Silver jewelry should be stored in an airtight container with a soft lining. Cleaning with soap and water and buffing with a soft cloth will keep your silver shiny as new. Avoid exposure of your silver jewelry to abrasive cleansers and bleach, which may cause discoloration.
