In 1913, Bohemian Daniel Swarovski finally accomplished what he’d devoted the better part of his life to achieving. He succeeded in making flawless crystals. These perfectly cut crystals today bear his namesake: Swarovski crystals.
Pearls have held significant financial value for centuries. Long ago, they were so valuable that they rivaled real estate in terms of economic worth. That’s because thousands of oysters had to be hand-searched to uncover just one pearl.

The porous nature of pearls demands extra care. To maintain their luster: 1) avoid exposure to household chemicals like hair spray, perfume and cleaning products; 2) wipe them gently with a warm damp cloth to remove body oils and perspiration; 3) when storing, keep them separate from other gemstones and metals that may scratch them.
The same care tips apply to the Swarovski crystals in this necklace. However, if your crystals become extremely dirty, you may wash them occasionally with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft toothbrush.
